Overview
Some SAP PI/PO tests change the PI/PO system itself while they run. For flat-file scenarios, for example, a test run creates temporary communication channels and Integrated Configurations on the system, uses them to inject the test messages, and deletes them again when the run ends. If a run is interrupted, or the clean-up fails, those objects stay behind in the Integration Directory.
The PI/PO Objects page finds and removes such leftovers. You pick an SAP PI/PO system under test, and the page lists every Integrated Configuration and every communication channel on that system whose last change was made by the Int4 communication user — the user of the system's connection in Int4 Suite. You select the objects to remove and delete them in one go; Int4 Suite records the deletion in a new change list on the PI/PO system and activates it.
Because the page works directly against the live PI/PO system, everything you see is read at that moment, and a deletion is a real change in your Integration Directory.
Tasks
How to list the objects on a PI/PO system
- Under Configuration, open PI/PO Objects.
- In System Under Test, pick the SAP PI/PO system. Only systems of type SAP PI/PO are offered.
- The list loads straight away. The toolbar shows which user was searched for ("PI/PO Objects - user …"), and each row shows the object's Type — Integrated Configuration or Communication channel — and its Name.
Click Reload to read the system again, for example after someone else changed it.
How to delete leftover objects
- List the objects of the system as described above.
- Select the objects to delete with the check boxes in the list.
- Click Delete Selected.
- In the Confirmation dialog, check the number of objects and click Confirm.
- The Deletion Results dialog shows the change list that was created, one line per object — deleted or failed with the reason — and whether the change list was activated. Click Close. The list reloads.
Integrated Configurations are deleted before communication channels. Each object is deleted on its own: if one fails, the others are still deleted, and the change list is activated at the end. If the activation fails, the result dialog shows the reason and the deletions stay in the inactive change list on the PI/PO system, where you can activate or revert them yourself.
Field reference
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| System Under Test | The SAP PI/PO system to search. Its connection's user is the Int4 communication user the list is filtered by. |
| Type | Integrated Configuration or Communication channel. |
| Name | For an Integrated Configuration: sender party, sender component, interface, receiver party and receiver component, separated by | (empty parts stay empty, for example |BC_SENDER|SI_Order_Out||BC_RECEIVER). For a channel: the channel name. |
The change list created for a deletion is named Int4_Suite_ followed by the date and time of the deletion (UTC), for example Int4_Suite_20261018143000.
Tips & edge cases
- The list is not limited to objects created by tests. It shows every Integrated Configuration and channel whose last change was made by the Int4 communication user. If people also use that user to edit the Integration Directory, their objects appear here too. Look at each object before you delete it, and keep the Int4 communication user reserved for Int4 Suite.
- Only objects last changed by that user can be deleted. Before deleting, Int4 Suite reads the system again. If any selected object has meanwhile been changed by someone else, nothing is deleted and an error names the objects. Reload the list and select again.
- The system's connection must use basic authentication. The Int4 communication user is the user name of the connection on the system under test. If the connection has no user name — for example because it uses OAuth2 or no authentication — the list cannot be loaded and the page shows "Failed to load objects. Check the System Under Test configuration.".
- Nothing to clean up. When the system has no matching objects, the list says "No objects found for user …". That is the normal state after successful runs.
- The page needs the SAP PO licence feature. Without it, the page shows "SAP PO testing is not enabled for this license.".
- Deletions are real changes in your PI/PO system. They cannot be undone from Int4 Suite. If a deletion was a mistake, revert or re-create the object in the PI/PO system.

Prerequisites & permissions
About permissions. What you can see and do is decided by the roles assigned to your user. Each role bundles permission groups, and each permission group allows activities — Read, Write, Delete, Execute and, for schedules, Change owner — on a kind of record (for example Test Case, Automation Object, System Under Test). A role grants its groups per project scope, so you may be allowed to change records in one project but only view, or not see, those of another.
If a button is disabled, a page says you don't have access, or a list comes back empty, missing permissions are the most likely cause — or, for whole product areas, the installed licence. You can review your own access under Profile → My access; an administrator can change your roles under IAM → Users.
